South Texas's gas production comes from stacked Tertiary-aged sands — primarily the Wilcox (Eocene) and Frio (Oligocene) — where multiple pay intervals exist within single wellbores. The Marks and Wilcox sands exemplify the conventional gas targets. Jericho's core strategy exploits this stacked geology by plugging back existing completions and progressively testing shallower, untested sands. In addition to recompletions, Jericho is pursuing flowline, facility, and compression optimization.
